Earn Your BSN in Miramar

Accredited Nursing School Located in Florida

Take the first steps of your journey as a nurse at our Miramar campus. Here, we offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program that is accredited* by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The three-year BSN program has no waiting lists and offers small class sizes to give students a more personalized experience. And our Center for Academic Success (CAS) gives students additional support when they need it.

These benefits provide our BSN students the opportunity to complete their degree programs faster than other students attending traditional four-year institutions. Miramar graduates can sit for the NCLEX sooner, which means they can start their career faster.

Our Miramar campus is conveniently located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale and is easily accessed via the Miramar Parkway exit on I-75 or via the Florida Turnpike at exit 43. Students are just minutes away from numerous restaurants and shops. The campus is designed to provide students with a technologically sophisticated learning environment that fosters academic success.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program

Our BSN program was created with entry-level students in mind, but is ideal for students at any step in a nursing program as well. Throughout your education, our focus is on your academic success. To do this, we keep class sizes small and offer help through peer and faculty tutoring programs.

You’ll also be able to start nursing courses as early as the end of your first year of classes. This option is available to our students because our BSN program combines both your general education and nursing courses into a single curriculum that teaches you the skills necessary for a lifetime of personal and professional growth.

Earning your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree requires a minimum of 129 total credit hours; 60 credit hours in liberal arts and sciences courses and 69 credit hours in nursing-specific courses.

What Students Can Expect

As a student, you’ll be taught by faculty members with years of experience. The Miramar faculty represents an ethnically diverse group which includes currently practicing nurses and professional educators who stay on top of the latest healthcare principles, practices and technology.

Outside of the classroom, you’ll have access to additional resources to help you complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program, including:

  • Early Alert – Identifying students who are experiencing academic performance issues early to proactively address issues and help increase student success.
  • Student Academic Success (SAS) Plan – Measurement and tracking of student activity for early identification of academic concerns and timely response.
  • Center for Academic Success (CAS) – Helping students achieve academic success through tutoring, assessment, teaching and other resources.
  • Career Services – Providing career planning, interview and resume support and employment opportunities.
  • ASPIRE – A no-cost, confidential personal-support program for students and their families to address issues in their daily life or academic performance.

You’ll also be able to refine your new skills in our SIMCARE CENTER™. This simulated healthcare space lets you apply what you’ve learned to high-tech patient mannequins. Faculty observation throughout your time in the center means you’ll be able to receive feedback on your entire experience.

Lastly, you’ll also take part in clinical coursework. This foray into the real-world of healthcare means you’ll receive training in live environments with real patients. This immersive experience takes place under the supervision of registered nurses who act as your preceptors, answering questions and guiding you along the way.
